			<p>As Stoelzle Glass Group prepares to restart its Flaconnage plant in Knottingley this December, Forglass is close to completing the delivery of the facility’s cullet handling, batch transport and entire batch plant automation system – a crucial component of the accelerated rebuild following the July 2025 fire.</p>
<p>Forglass team has been engaged in the immediate reconstruction of critical infrastructure. Thanks to the in-house manufacturing, standardized solutions, and experienced engineering team, Forglass is able – within just 3 months – to design, manufacture, install, and commission the entire cullet handling and batch transport systems.</p>
<p>“This project shows how the right combination of expertise, technology, and organization allows us to act fast and effectively – even in emergency situations,”  Piotr Knast , Forglass CEO, commented.</p>
<p>The new systems are engineered for reliability, precision and high efficiency ensuring a stable, high-performance restart at the Knottingley facility.</p>

<p>Led by Marian Klisch PhD, Head of Forglass R&amp;D Department, the sessions focused on innovative glass melting technology in a simple way, using mathematical modelling, animations, and visualizations. “We wanted to present advanced processes and open a discussion on the real challenges the industry faces today,” said Piotr Knast, Forglass CEO. “Judging by the great response, we’ve clearly touched on topics that matter.”</p>

			<p>In times when large new investments in the European glass industry are few and far in between, the investors get to choose between the best of the best engineering companies capable of delivering such large projects. In this case, the investor – Euroglas, member of the Swiss Glas Trösch Group – decided to build a new, environmentally friendly float glass plant in Lommel, Belgium.</p>
<p>Euroglas chose Forglass to deliver what is presently the largest batch plant in Europe. Forglass not only has the engineering and manufacturing prowess to design, manufacture and deliver such a batch plant, but they have also earned the reputation of being a reliable partner, who delivers on time, regardless of project size.</p>
<p>The scope of the project itself is massive, encompassing several of Forglass’ proprietary technologies, such as automation of the entire batch plant, advanced weighing system, micro dosing of minor components, entire cullet return system with crushers, mixers and metal detection systems. A significant advantage is that Forglass will design all of the machinery and manufacture it to the highest standards in its own factory in Poland.</p>
<p>In addition to its complexity and cutting-edge technology, the project is also noteworthy for other reasons. Big emphasis has been placed on making the entire plant environment and maintenance friendly. An additional, unique design characteristic is the low noise emission from the plant, required due to surrounding residential neighborhoods.</p>
<p>When Forglass delivers and commissions the new Euroglas batch plant in 2026, it will be one of the largest, most modern, maintenance and environment friendly batch plant in Europe.</p>

			<p>Our R&amp;D expert and head of department, Mr. Marian Klisch PhD currently leads a seminar for glass producers. The second session on February 25 will be entitled: “From dog house to throat”  including aspects of melting tank geometry, the sequence of process stages, batch blanket, foam, glass homogeneity. All these aspects are analyzed based on the state of the art furnace Mathematical Simulations done by our R&amp;D team. This powerful tool lets us see the unseen – what happens in glass behind the tank wall of furnace and receive very realistic data.</p>
