From North Pole to South Pole to Glasstec

Marek Kaminski has made it to the North Pole and the South Pole in one year, and now he came to Düsseldorf for Glasstec 2018. The world-famous, Polish polar explorer and Guinness Book record holder is a familiar face at FORGLASS, also a Polish company that provides complete glass production solutions for all types of glass manufacturers. But Marek’s relationship with FORGLASS is no ordinary friendship. Marek has transformed his passion for making dreams come true and for setting and reaching goals – no matter what the obstacles – into a developmental program for kids 12 to 16 years old. The program, based on Marek’s “Pole Method”, teaches life skills that help the kids achieve their goals. They become self-confident and develop new competences that allow them to make decisions, which shape their lives in a positive way.

This concept resonated well with Piotr Knast, the co-founder and CEO of FORGLASS. Looking for ways to support his community and express the social responsibility of his company, Piotr decided to partner with Marek and provide sponsorship for a number of kids, who wanted to join the program. Equally important for both sides is Piotr’s and FORGLASS management’s personal engagement with Marek to shape the program, and provide mentorship and support to the kids in many areas. FORGLASS is a proud sponsor of this invaluable program and encourages its clients and business partners to join in. Sponsoring one child is an investment of 2400 EUR per year. Anyone can sponsor as many children as they wish and give them an equal start in life.
